Supporting Tepache FC in La Cantera

Here at Puro Tepache, we’re all about community, culture, and the joy that comes from sharing good food and drink. That’s why we’re so excited to sponsor Tepache FC, a local soccer team playing in the South Side Soccer League, "La Cantera." For us, it’s more than just putting our name on a jersey—it’s about supporting the connections that bring us all together in San Antonio.

The Story of Tepache FC

Tepache FC isn’t just any soccer team; it’s a tight-knit group that feels more like family. Most of the guys have been playing together since their teens, and now that they’re in their thirties (or getting close), they’ve grown up together both on and off the field. Over the years, they’ve shared laughs, challenges, and a whole lot of memories. Soccer Sundays have become a time to unwind, have fun, and catch up with friends.

Season So Far

This season’s been an exciting ride for Tepache FC. They’re currently in 5th place, with one game behind due to a rain-out. Here’s how things have been shaping up:

  • Jornada 1: Bye Week

  • Jornada 2: Tepache FC 4 - Jordan FC 3

    • Goals by: Andre Cruz, Rikki, Ivan, Luis

  • Jornada 3: Tepache FC 1 - United FC 2

    • Goal by: Andre Cruz

  • Jornada 4: Tepache FC 3 - Correcaminos 1

    • Goals by: Andre Cruz (Hat-trick)

  • Jornada 5: Tepache FC 5 - Mission Food 0

    • Goals by: Ivan Gomez (2), Misael Higa, Andre Cruz, Rikki

  • Jornada 6: Rained Out

  • Jornada 7: Tepache FC 5 - Titanes 1

    • Goals by: Andre Cruz (4), Mando

The team has been playing their hearts out, and Andre Cruz has been on fire, scoring in almost every game, including a hat-trick and a four-goal performance. The way these guys come together on the field shows just how much they care about each other—and the game.

What’s Next?

As the season continues, we’re rooting for Tepache FC all the way. Their journey is a reminder of what it means to be part of a community—supporting each other, having fun, and sharing the love of the game. We’re proud to be in their corner and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the season.

Here’s to more goals, more good times, and more Sundays spent with Tepache FC. Stay tuned for more updates as we cheer on our favorite team in La Cantera!
