Welcoming Mando De Hoyos: A Big Step Toward Uplifting Our Community and Culture

At Puro Tepache, we’ve always believed in the power of food and beverage to connect people, celebrate culture, and give back to the community. Today, we’re proud to announce a new chapter in that mission with the addition of Armando “Mando” De Hoyos as our first-ever Director of Outreach.

Mando’s journey reflects the heart of what Puro Tepache stands for. Born in Laredo, TX, and raised in Nuevo León, Mexico, Mando’s roots run deep on both sides of the border. Growing up on the South Side of San Antonio, his family faced the challenges familiar to many Mexican and Hispanic households—his mom juggling multiple jobs and his dad working long hours in construction to provide for their family.

Those early experiences shaped Mando into someone with an unwavering commitment to helping others. As he steps into his new role, Mando is focused on planting seeds of opportunity, particularly for the younger generation. His vision aligns perfectly with our own: building a future where our community is empowered to grow and thrive together.

For Mando, this mission is deeply personal. His two children inspire him every day, reminding him why it’s important to work toward something greater than ourselves. At Puro Tepache, we’re honored to help turn that inspiration into action. Mando represents our first major step in turning our values into tangible impact, and we couldn’t be prouder to have him on board.

Through his leadership, we’ll be expanding our efforts to uplift our community, bridging the gaps that often exist in underserved areas. Mando De Hoyos’ story is one of resilience, passion, and vision—qualities that resonate with everything Puro Tepache stands for.
